Hi and welcome to my auction for a Jeep Wrangler Sport. This Jeep is in very good condition, i will mention all the defaults with it just to be as honest as possible. Viewing is welcome at pretty much any time. 2.5litre 4 cylinder petrol 4×4 convertible, Full years MOT and is also taxed till the end of May. The jeep starts and drives as it should do without problems, Just had an oil and filter change. All the tyres are good with the 2 front ones being new with full tread. The Rear Differential is Limited Slip and has just been overhauled with new Planet gear, Shims and oil. New rear brake shoes and cylinders have been fitted and adjusted correctly. The interior is in very good condition without rips, tears or stains i have covered a long journey in the jeep and can say these are comfortable too. The jeep has also had a new battery fitted as the last one failed in the winter. The private plate is included in the sale and is worth in the region of £500 There is a lot of service history with it, lots of bills and recipts from the previous owner too. The paintwork is in very good condition apart from a few mark, The drivers door has some sratches off a thorn bush, a small dent on the drivers wing which dent master will be able to remove for a small fee, about £25 i think. There is no paint scabs, rust of laquer peeling so overall the paint work looks great. All suspension, steering and drive components work as they should without fault. Nearly forgot to mention the Jeep has aN Alarm Fitted for protection and to help lower insurance costs. There are 2 small tears in the soft top above the passenger door, these are not bad, only let the tiniest amount of water in under heavy rain and are repairable easlily without great cost. There are 4 alloy wheels, 3 complete with centre caps one is missing, the spare is a steel wheel as the pictures show. All bodywork is dead straight with just a couple of minor marks. There is a light dent on the bonnet and a very light scratch on the drivers door. Absolutely nothing worth worrying about on a 1998 Wrangler. It is fitted with an Immobiliser. It also has a windscreen mounted spot light bar although there are no spot lamps with the car.The interior is perfect with no wear and tear to the seats, door trims, dash board or carpets. The only area not perfect is a patch on the drivers side carpet which may be visble in the pictures. It is not worn but has a dirty mark. If cleaned with a special carpet cleaner it will probably come out. Other than that the interior is pretty much perfect.The soft top is old but in good condition. It keeps the car dry and we have had some pretty heavy rain recently. No water leaking in. It is however starting to fray a little above the doors. I personally think that it adds to the overall appeal of the Jeep but you may want to replace it at some point. I must stress though that it is not leaking.Mechanically the Jeep is all good. The engines is smooth and quiet with no noises that shouldn’t be there. It starts easily and revs freely. The brakes, steering, Clutch and gearbox are all good. The transfer box is also working just as it should. No whines or nasty noises. The only thing really that is not 100% is the exhaust. The back box needs a new hanger clip as the old one is missing. The previous owner has used a large Jubilee clip to fix it. This is causing a light rattle around the exhaust. Not a major issue, just be honest about it.The wheels are not perfect but at the same time they are ok for a Jeep this age. Not damaged as such, just the usual pitting and laquer lifting. The fronts are worse than the rears. All tyres are about 50% worn maximum. The spare tyre is new and the rear passenger side tyre is not very old. That is a good honest description of a good honest Jeep. It looks good,drives as it should and is priced to sell.If you are looking for a Wrangler with a good honest history then please give me a call. Jeep Wrangler 1996 4litre HO Sahara, gold with black interior. The interior was green, but I had it dyed black to match the brand new black roll bar covers and black carpets…. It has 95,000 miles and has receipts in the past 2 years for new starter, battery, radiator, thermostat, brake pads, catalyst and back box. Was registered in ’96 but is a ’95 model so comes with the clutch slave cylinder outside the bellhousing (much easier for servicing). Has had a new best top hood, which is in good, with clear windows and a tiny bit of fraying. Also has black bull bars, with large spots….. Also, it has black tread plate to protect the bodywork (the streets of leeds can be mean)… Drives very well, clutch is very sharp, and the MOT is untill 22nd August…. The only bad point is some wear on the drivers seat, as can be seen in the photo, but underneath the windscreen is rust free (a notorious rust area)…. Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask…..
