I am selling this Jeep Cherokee on behalf of a customer, It has just failed its MOT but will make a great project for someone who is looking for a good workhorse, or someone who wants spares. It has a very good engine, it has always been serviced. The tyres still have plenty of tread left on them. There is a dent in the bumper on the rear, as shown in the picture, otherwise the bodywork is in good condition. Some of the items replaced over the past few years are as follows: April 2011 – Head Gasket Replacement and service – 120167 miles £900+ Nov 2010 – Water pump and Thermostate – 117646 miles £300+ Sept 2010 – Rear Brake Cylinders – 115567 miles Oct 2009 – Power steering pump – 107980 miles I have taken a picture of the MOT fail sheet. The parts needed are not very expensive, its just the time to fit them and the labour charges make it uneconomical for the customer to repair. Oh Boy, A very fine example of this model Chrysler Jeep 5 Speed Diesel. This vehicle drive incredibly well without any faults, A new clutch was fitted last year and all the tyres are very good. The car is taxed and has a current MOT. It was taken in part exchange by us against another newer 4×4. We have numerous bills and MOTs from the last 10 or so years. The vehicle has a service history consisting of 17 services, the last carried out last week. You will see that the starting price is £800 after which there is NO reserve, so the highest bidder will buy. The trade retail price for this vehicle with more miles is £2200 !! Taken in Part Exchange back in October of last year by us we have used it all winter, we put a new MOT on it in October and completed a service, which included a new fuel relay and a crankcase sensor, common on these, cheap to buy and expensive to fit! The car drives very well and has been totally reliable during our useage which has been approximately 1500 miles. Although it has 5 owners on the V5, 3 of those were the same family. It has good service documentation with the car although the service books have not been passed on by the previous owner, we have tried on several occasions to obtain them but without luck. We are assured by the previous owner that he does have them I just think it is low on his priority list. There are a couple of issues with the vehicle these being that the alarm for the lights sound all the time unless you run the vehicle with lights on, this has not caused us any problems and sometimes the power steering goes heavy for no particular reason this only ever happens at low/manouvering speeds we suspect power steering pump is getting tired, secondhand ones available on ebay at sub £50. Otherwise the car drives very well, always starts and has been ultra reliable, gearbox is smooth 4 wheel drive all works as it should and it never fails to start. Outside the vehicle has a few battle scars and the wheels could do with a refurb (all tyres are good) inside the carpets and leather are in very good condition. For sale is my 1998 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 with LPG conversion. A very clean truck that runs great on both Petrol and LPG, it has a moderate body lift and around 2″ off set wheels with 235/75/15 Maxis Bravo A/T tyres with very good tread. The interior is better than you would expect as is the body work, there are marks but nothing at all that would concern anyone. There is stacks of service history, i changed the oil last December, i have added a set of 10mm high performance HT leads (1 month ago). I also changed the LPG filters January this year. The LPG tank (70lts) is under the truck so no space lost in the boot. There is also a set of standard wheels that i recently refurbished and painted gloss black, they look very good but i am not a professional painter. The truck is registered LPG and comes with a certificate and instruction manual. 4 wheel drive works perfectly. Bad points – Broken aerial Drivers window does not work, needs a new carrier plate (not expensive) One rear boot strut is broken When starting from very cold the LPG switches in too quick, i simply press the manual switch button in cab until 3/4 water temp is reached then switch to LPG. The dials have on occasion dropped when driving, i looked into this and was told it is common. Fixing is fairly simple but it does not happen much at all so have not bothered. You are bidding for my trusty Red Jeep Grand Cherokee which I have looked after well. I bought vehicle last year (paid £799)to use on the fields around home pulling a trailer to collect wood. I did occasionally use the vehicle on the road but the MOT expired in Feb 12 and I did not see the point of putting through the MOT again as it was never bought for this purpose/me to take on the road. The four wheel drive works perfectly and she has not let me down to date. As you can see from the pictures, she is in good condition for her age and is a work horse. If like me, you want something to take of road and play around with, she is great! There is a solid tow bar fitted to the back, I have given her a good clean throughout. She had new tyres last year (off road alterain) which cost around £360 and she has a decent CD/Radio deck which is all in good working order. The vehicle is what it is. I had the car mot’d two days ago, and it has tax until the end of may. It has all the orvis extras like the side step trims & the embossed headrests. It also has an infinity stereo…. The body has a few marks and dings, but nothing too bad…. the wheels are pretty good with two good tyres & two which are getting low. The spare is the original wheel of the car, but I think the threads of the holes are damaged and this is why the rear passenger wheel does not match…. It has two sets of mats, coloured & rubber and the leather parcel shelf too… The manual is there with the orvis embossed leather cover along with 2 original keys & two original fobs. The service book too totally stamped!!!

Here we have my jeep cherokee which has served its purpose for me over the last few months and i now need something smaller, its never let me down and drives well on both petrol and gas with plenty of power it has till the end of january next year on the mot and the end of july tax so its ready to go for someone to get some use out of it ! ive also done a little bit of offroading in it and it never gets stuck and came in handy for pulling other people out lol and even tho its a 4 litre on gas it is quite good on fuel !! as you can see from the pics there is a few knocks an scrapes around the car and maybe a few scabs but its solid enough as the almost full mot suggests, now obviously with a car of this age it does have a few issues an i’d rather tell you so you know ! The drivers window works some days and doesnt others maybe just a loose wire on the switch or motor. There is a noise from either a wheel bearing or diff which has never really bothered me and hasnt changed since i got it in january so i saw no need to sort it till it breaks if it breaks ! And finally very rarely you have to move the gear lever to N for it to start no idea why just a lil niggle it always starts so nothing to worry about ! All in all a good useable car with plenty of tax an test ! I am not looking to swap swop why ?? Any questions feel free to ask and thanks for looking !!
