Relisted due to time wasters 2000 W Reg Jeep Cherokee – Blue, Manual 2.5LTR, 5 seats, good runner – sounds and runs like a 10 year old diesel, its not going to run or sound like an Aston Martin at this age. Yes it has marks and scratches on its been round the block a few times, however no accident damage. There is a dent in the roof, I do not know how this occured as it was like this when we bought it. It has only been used during the winter months and we have only put 2k miles on it in. I have owned it for the last 2 years. I have SORN it off the road during the fabulous hot and sunny summer months!!! I haven’t used it for towing however it is fitted with a tow bar and electrics. It is also fitted with roof bars. This particular model is so easy to drive being automatic and power steering, even for a woman like me. Jeep’s utility, go anywhere vehicle can be used for work, pleasure and evenings. It is clockwork reliable and I would drive it anywhere without hesitation. Remember last winter? Don’t get caught out this year…buy early before the prices of 4×4′s rise. Most people mistake this vehicle for a much newer vehicle due to the condition. SPECIFICATION: This is the ‘top of the range’ LTD spec. It has four electric windows (drivers one touch) AND ALL WORKING, full leather interior, wood fasia dashboard, factory front fog lights, electric heated mirrors, front electric heated seats , drinks holders, central locking remote alarm and immobiliser x 2, p/steering, cruise control, air-conditioning (cold but not ice), fuel computer, 4 speed automatic gearbox with sports/economy option, adjustable seat belt heights, ABS, digital climate control, factory mudflaps, colour coded bumpers and mirrors, rear wash wipe, high rear brake light, heated rear window, twin front airbags and roof bars top off this spec. BODYWORK: This is very good condition. It is mirror gloss purple (the best colour as it looks black at night, dark grey in low light and sparkles purple in the sunlight) and gleaming! The bodywork is not far off perfect but well above average for the year. INTERIOR: This has sand coloured leather seats in good condition. The two front seats have electric adjustment, are heated and lumbar adjustment also. Front arm rests. The rear seats can fold down. It has seat belts on all 5 seats. STEREO: It has a clip front CD / stereo player. There are six Infinity Gold speakers and are good quality with a rich sound. ENGINE AND MECHANICALS: The 4.0/6 engine is the best of the range. The engine is quiet, does not smoke, starts first time and enough power to exceed the national speed limits without straining even with 5-people.…it should be good for several thousand more. It has a cam-chain like proper engines have, not the rubber cambelt that needs changing and can break.. It has had a recent oil and filters change 3000mls ago. It has 143582 miles on the clock. This might change as it is still sometimes used. It makes for a very practical and reasonably economic family car/ workhorse/ prestige best car. This is average mileage for the year and I’ve seen these reach 300,000 with regular servicing. The gearbox changes up smoothly and perfectly as it should. OTHERS. Brake pads and disks have been changed recently. Exhaust is in fair condition. No tow-bar so it has not been worked to death, just used as a family car. WHEELS AND TYRES: It has 16 inch genuine wheels in great condition apart from some laqueur bubbling up. The tyres are all 235/70 x 16 with at least 3-6mm of tread. It comes with the original Jack and handle and wheel brace. These are usually missing. The spare matching alloy needs a new tyre LEGALS: The MOT is till 1st February 2013. Comes also with a proper handbook, spare key and remote control (working) and original leather wallet. Vehicle road tax is till 1st October 2012. There is every MOT to verify the mileage and many bills for services etc. DAMAGE/FAULTS: The rear axle whines on deceleration, not on drive, this is a common fault on these vehicles. All the ones around this year whine but this is louder than usual. I’m just being more honest than most. It does not affect the drive in any way and has been this way for some time. The oil has been changed and and is not going to snap or break. It’s just annoying but I just turn the stereo up. The Jeep has a water leak which means it needs topping up every 5 or so days and this has resulted in the warning message coolant sensor bad popping up every now and then. There is a rust bubble on the bonnet from edge but I was quoted £60 to repair and a localised spray if you wanted it perfect. There is a small amount of corrosion on three of the wheels but generally they are in great condition. THESE REALLY ARE MINOR FAULTS FOR A 15 YEAR OLD JEEP. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST YOU WILL FIND IN THE UK. Viewing welcome but if you bid then you bid to buy not kick the tyres and haggle.I have another car already so am in no rush to sell. This car is in very good condition Cam belt has been changed and clutch as well. It is full version with disc changer, electric passengers in front and back windows, AE and many more features. How you can see on the pictures is has great chrome additional pipes on both sides and chrome metal frames on the back lights.
