1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd Auto Black

| Jeep Grand Cherokee | August 14, 2010

An almost perfect example of a Grand Cherokee. I have spared no expense on maintaining this vehicle as I did intend to keep her for the rest of her life. The only reason she is for sale is that I've moved on to a younger girl (check my ebay feedback/purchase's), the story of a middleaged man's life!! If you're looking at Jeeps you know what all the 'specs' are and all the 'goodies' that you get for your money. Far better than a Range Rover, and I used to be a 'Rangy' guy back in the day, and that says a lot, and only a third of the price!!!.... I have had several Jeeps in my time so I know most of the usual problems but on this one almost everything works (no noises from front/rear axles or gear/transfer box) indeed the rear axle has been rebuilt, below I will give a run down on good and not so good points but by and large this GC is above average. She is a pure pleasure to drive. Please remember she is 12 years old, bless, so she is no longer show/catwalk condition (but as an old girl she has plenty of experience :-) and therefore is comfortable to take to Tesco's car park and get the odd shopping trolly dig. Good Bits: MOT'd till July 2011 New Radiator ( £160 still under warranty) New Exhaust (cat back) New Kumho Road Venture AT's fitted and only done around 3000 miles (see photo's) Fully Serviced (air filter, oil and filter change, new spark plugs and leads, both axles stripped, serviced and crown wheel and pinions checked with oil change+LSD additive, gear and transfer box serviced) Up-Rated headlights. Original load bay cover. Privacy glass (although a couple of small scuffs in the rear loading windows) Bad Bits: Air Con needs re-gassing (who needs it in our summers? You have a window!open it, Yanks!!!) Drivers seat heater not working, common fault. Air bag warning light on, all checked and working perfect. Another common fault. Some paint scratches on nearside (courtesy of Devon hedges) most should polish out others may need a little more Small ding in nearside sill (courtesy of log in Devon hedge) no paint loss. Have tried to show in photo's. Split/crack on drivers side arm rest, see photos. That's it, I only mention these for the sake of accuracy and any ebay a-holes who leave negative feedback because a missing screw was not declared missing on a 1901 Daimler- Benz sold for £2.50. Rant over, but you know the ones I mean. With that in mind you are looking at a 12 year old vehicle. You are more than welcome to come and see her and put her to your tests, likewise, if you have any questions please email me or call me on 07891 775804. I will be happy to answer any queries. Thanks for looking and good luck in bidding.
